Horner Park Advisory Council

The Horner Park Advisory Council is pleased to announce that a Celebration of the New Buffalo Park will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 12 noon in Buffalo Park. 

Alderman Mell will be on hand to help us celebrate this new neighborhood gathering place, greatly enhanced with new paving, seating stones, along with trees and bushes.

 Light refreshments will be served.  There will also be musical entertainment to add to the fun.  All neighbors are encouraged to attend.

This celebration will be the culmination of years of work in design, fundraising and coordination with the Chicago Park District.  Several thousand dollars were raised from local households and businesses, as well as from 33rd Ward Menu money stewarded to our project by Alderman Mell.

We are proud to give this legacy to our neighborhood, and hope it becomes a source of peaceful serenity and inspiration to all who use it.

The Horner Park Advisory Council is proud to announce it's 15th Season of the Summer Concert Series. With the help of the community, we will once again provide a full summer of free entertainment.

With the support of our wonderful neighbors and local business sponsors, we’ve brought 14 summer seasons of great fun-filled musical and family entertainment to our neighborhood—a tradition we’re proud to continue. Our entertainment creates an island of fun, family and community for our neighbors. And with your 2009 donation, and our great line-up of acts, we can bring smiles to every face!

Two performance venues means twice the opportunity for great entertainment:
• Ravenswood Manor Park – an intimate, family-oriented venue, perfect for up-close interactions between musical acts and families, all under the beautiful Manor Park Pergola, and
• Horner Park – a great North Side park with plenty of open space to accommodate larger events, with great sightlines, and close to home
