Christiane and Katrina got together yesterday in Kevin's backyard for an impromptu self-irrigating planter (SIP) building session, where Kevin shared what he learned at the Green Roof Growers SIP workshop in May

 Here they are hard at work on the discarded food-grade 5-gallon buckets that Katrina was able to get for us:

Next HPAC meeting will be on Monday, September 13th,  2010 at 700pm (back to normal start time) at Buffalo Park (4501 N. California Ave) if weather permits, and Horner fieldhouse otherwise.  There is no August meeting.
