WHO WE ARE
Welcome to the Horner Park Advisory Council’s website.  Better know by the acronym HPAC.  HPAC was chartered back in 1989 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization to lend Park User insight to the Chicago Park District’s Horner Park and its satellite parks.  As you’ll see while searching our site we have very specific goals and direction.  We are unique in having several parks all with different uses under our council.  Our aim is to steward improvements that will allow our parks to be enjoyed by all Park Users.  It is our contention that through community action we can keep our gardens nurtured, our playgrounds safe, with the latest equipment, our sports facilities maintained and improved to the latest standards and to keep the experience of using these parks the joy that generations of Chicagoans have had.

Our website is designed to inform and more importantly to generate information.  We want you, the park user, to feed us information that we can then act upon.

Chicago lives and dies by its neighborhoods and our parks are a direct reflection of the surrounding people, homes and culture.  Horner Park and its satellite parks deserve to have the best representation from the surrounding community.  HPAC continues in that representation.  We tell so many people that having these parks is like belonging to a FREE Country Club.  So, please come out and play, and then inform us.

Sincerely,

The Horner Park Advisory Council
